DeltCorp Security Group is Hiring an Armed Security Officer Near Petersburg, VA

DSG is now hiring part-time Armed Officers in the Petersburg, VA Area. All applicants must go through a criminal background investigation and drug screening prior to job placement.

We are looking for Armed Security Officers to undertake the Protection of our client's premises, their staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
  • Monitor and authorize entrance of patrons in the property
  • Remove trespassers from the property
  • Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of shift
  • Respond to incidents by investigating and assessing the situation
  • Provide assistance to people in need
  • Submit shift reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences through the SRA Management System

Skills

  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
  • Must have State of VA Armed License
  • Familiarity with report writing
  • Excellent surveillance and observation skills
  • High School diploma
  • Reliable Transportation (Required)
  • Have a valid state issued Driver's License and Social Security Card
  • Must display a professional appearance and attitude
  • Must have at least 2 years of customer service experience
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience as Armed Security Officer.
  • Must possess excellent communications skills
  • Must be familiar with using a computer and a smart phone
  • Must pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug test
  • Must be willing to stand for long periods of time
  • Military and Law Enforcement experience is a plus
  • Must own Duty Weapon and Wear
